Virtual Math Manipulatives

These are online virtual manipulatives that accompany the McGraw-Hill Math Connects Program. Manipulatives are sorted by grade level. In addition to the manipulatives there are workmats, storyboards and gameboards that connect to McGraw-Hill math. The manipulatives and activities here are Smartboard friendly.

 

Math Tool Chest

This is a different set of manipulatives found at the McGraw-Hill Math Connects site. Different "tool chest" at the site contain workmats and manipulatives to reinforce the "tool chest's" skill.

 

National Library of Virtual Manipulatives

This site was created by Utah State University. There are manipulatives and activities for Pre-K - 12th grade.

 

Math Playground

 Great set of math manipulatives geared for upper elementary students and above.

 

Thinking Blocks

Great visually based site to teach problem solving skills for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, ratio and percents.

 

Mister Teacher Virtual Manipulatives

Manipulative at this site include line graphs, bar graphs, tangrams, interactive circles, interactive angles, coin toss and letter symmetry.

eManipulatives

This is Houghton Mifflin Math site with manipulatives. The link defaults to the 1st grade manipulatives. You can change the grade level by clicking on Houghton Mifflin at the bottom of the page. Then click on your grade level. Finally click on eManipulatives.

 

McGraw Hill Virtual Manipulatives

This set of online manipulatives are provided by McGraw Hill. There are activities that accompany the different sets of manipulatives. Additionally McGraw Hill provides video tutorial on how to use the manipulatives. To access the videos click here.
